“We are not afraid to ask the jury for justice. We will try the case that should be tried.”

Derrick’s practice involves the handling of a multitude of personal injury cases. He has represented clients in cases involving motor vehicle collisions, medical malpractice and products liability. Prior to joining Breit Drescher & Imprevento, P.C. in 2004, he was an associate with Durrette Bradshaw, PLC, in Richmond, Virginia, where he was a member of the insurance defense and commercial litigation trial teams. He has tried personal injury cases to verdict in state and federal courts in the Commonwealth of Virginia. He has also been involved in appeals in the Virginia Court of Appeals and the Supreme Court of Virginia, most recently arguing in the Supreme Court of Virginia in 2006.

While practicing as a defense lawyer, Derrick gained considerable insight into how personal injury cases are evaluated and defended by insurance carriers. Since leaving the defense bar, he has applied this knowledge and experience exclusively to representing individuals who have suffered injuries and damages caused by the negligence of healthcare professionals, careless drivers, product manufacturers, and others. SuperLawyer Magazine recently named him a Top Lawyer in Virginia - Rising Star – 2007.
